COMBATING UNIT OFFICIAL |
An Area Crime Combating Unit Official is responsible for
executing crowd management operations of an unpeaceful of unrest
nature. He/she provides foot and vehicle patrols, deals with
traffic offences, escorting of marchers to planned destinations,
execution of roadblocks and escorting prisoners.
What are the minimum requirements to
become a Crime Combatting Unit Official?
One must have completed Basic Police.
Training:
One must undergo a public order police entry, crime combating
and specialized modular courses.
Where can you be stationed?
Area Crime combating unit officials are stationed at one of
the 42 Crime Combating Units of the South African Police Service
countrywide.
