INFORMATION GATHERER:
SURVEILLANCE & OBSERVATION OFFICIAL |
The Crime Intelligence Gatherer will monitor suspects by
static observation, vehicle, foot surveillance, video recording
and photography to support investigations. Tasks will include
the planning of surveillance operations, compilation of
surveillance reports and briefing of investigation teams.
What are the minimum requirements to
become a Crime Information Gatherer: Surveillance and
Observation Official?
You must have one year functional policing experience after
basic training is completed
Training:
Successfully completing the prescribed Crime Intelligence
Course. Each member of Crime Intelligence shall be given the
opportunity to undergo training to equip himself/herself to
properly fulfil his/her functions.
Where can you be stationed?
At Crime Intelligence at National, Provincial, Area or
Station level where above services are needed in the South
African Police Service.
