Career Quest
A Psychometrist is responsible for administering tests for
the selection and evaluation of people applying for employment
in the South African Police Service. He/she also interprets the
test results and compile psychological reports under the
supervision of a registered psychologist.
What are the minimum requirements to become a
Psychometrist?
The individual must have an Honours Degree in Psychology or
Industrial Psychology and be registered with the Health
Professions Council of Africa as a Psychometrist.
Training:
Individuals undergo in-service training to enhance their
skills.
Where can You be stationed?
Psychometrists are stationed at Psychological Services unit
of the South African Police. Service.
