Air crew members’ first responsibility is the safety of
officials from the South African Police Service from the time
they board the aircraft until they disembark at their
destination. They also act as the hosts to ensure the passengers
comfort. Air crew members see too it that supplies of food,
beverages, reading material are adequate and that first aid kits
and other emergency equipment are aboard and in working
condition.
What are the minimum requirements to
become an Air Crew Member?
You should be in a possession of at least a Senior Certificate.
You must have good vision and have the ability to speak clearly
and fluently in English. Additional languages applicable to the
South African Police Service would be an asset.
Training:
In-service training will be provided in the South African Police
Service. Further training includes a diploma eg. Travel and
Tourism.
Where can you be stationed?
At South African Police Service Air Wing Units. It is important
to know that should you be interested to become an Air Crew
Member, that there is limited positions available in this career
field in the South African Police Service.
