ARTISAN

An Artisan Training/ Apprentice(ship) is a person who are selected with a view to becoming artisans and to achieve trade status, to do an intensive practical course of one year together with theoretical training at a specific organization and after that receive an average of two years training in a specific trade at an approved employer eg. South African Police Service.

What are the minimum requirements to become a Artisan?

A Completed apprenticeship and proof of passing a trade test in terms of the provisions of section 13(2)(h) of the Manpower Training Act, 1981, as amended. You must at least have 2-3 years appropriate experience after obtaining the trade test. A valid code 08 drivers’ licence. Level I First Aid will be recommendable.

Training:

In-service training will be provided in the South African Police Service.

Logistics in the South African Police Service.
