INFORMATION GATHERER:

The Crime Intelligence Gatherer executes secret close
observation of suspects and tracking by using electronic devices
to support the information gathering process. These tasks
include the preparation and maintenance of equipment before,
during and after operations, the installation of equipment and
briefing of the investigation team.
What are the minimum requirements to
become a Crime Information Gatherer: Tracking Official?
You must have one year functional policing experience after
basic police training is completed.
Training:
Successfully completing the prescribed Crime Intelligence
Course. Each member of Crime Intelligence shall be given the
opportunity to undergo training to equip himself/herself to
properly fulfil his/her functions.
Where can you be stationed?
At Crime Intelligence on National, Provincial, Area or
Station level where above services are needed in the South
African Police Service.
