Career Quest
Police Divers conduct search and recovery operations in an
attempt to recover bodies/ exhibits submerged in water eg. sea,
dams and rivers (this also includes search and recovery
operations conducted within confirmed spaces). An interested
person is subjected to pre-selection. He/ She must apply
voluntary and must do the work for at least two years after
training. This task is secondary to normal police duties and
most diving operations are dealt with after hours.
What are the minimum requirements to
become a Police Diver?
You should have completed basic police training, must be able
to swim and be at least 18 years old.
Training:
Training that will be provided is a police divers course.
Where can you be stationed?
Border police (Sea): Waterwing Units.
