ENGINEER

Engineers are expected to use the energy and material of nature innovatively to enhance the life of humans and to find solutions to problems. Engineers use their knowledge of science to improve and to protect the environment by designing and constructing buildings, developing new processes, tools, machinery and a wide variety of equipment such as engines, power plants, electronic circuits, etc. We get the following engineering fields in the South African Police Service: Chemical, Mechanical, Metallurgical and Electrical.

What are the minimum requirements to become an Engineer?

Relevant Degree/ Diploma in Engineer( Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Metallurgical).

Training:

In-service training will be provided in the South African Police Service.

Where can you be stationed?

Depending on the field of specialization one can be stationed at Logistics or the Forensic Science Laboratory.
