An Industrial Technician (Mechanical) compiles
specifications, evaluates tenders and computer aided design and
drafting equipment. He/She also does general administration and
management of projects. Industrial Technicians (Mechanical) fill
the gap between the tasks performed by engineers, technologists
and scientist and those performed by artisans.
What are the minimum requirements to
become a Industrial Technician (Mechanical)?
A National Diploma (T or N Stream) in Mechanical Engineering
at a recognized institution. A valid code 08 drivers licence.
Training:
In-service training will be provided by the South African
Police Service.
Where can you be stationed?
Logistics in the South African Police Service.
