Career Quest
A plumber installs all types of plumbing (toilets, geysers,
showers, water supply, etc). He/She builds manholes, lay and
join various drain pipes and calculate amount of material from
plans.
What are the minimum requirements to
become a Plumber?
You would need a completed apprenticeship and proof of
passing a trade test in terms of the provisions of section
13(2)(h) of the Manpower Training Ac,1981, as amended.
Experience after obtaining the trade test. Level I First Aid
will be recommendable. (Refer to Artisan)
Training:
In-service training will be provided in the South African
Police Service.
Where can you be stationed?
Logistics in the South African Police Service.
