Career Quest
The Static Protector provides static protection to identified
very important persons (VIP’s) and/ or strategic installations
by protecting the lives and assets of VIP’s executing access
control in government buildings and escorting unauthorized
persons in restricted areas.
What are the minimum requirements to
become a Static Protector?
Basic Police Training, Tactical Policing Level I, VIP
Personal File and Firearm Bridging Training.
Training:
Basic VIP-Protection Course, three months probation and job
assessment. Further Training includes Advanced VIP Protection
Course, Technical Support Training and Communication and Liaison
Course.
Where can you be stationed?
Provincial and National Level in the South African Police
Service.
