Career Quest
A member of the Special Task Force handles high risk
operations which cannot be dealt with by normal policing. The
Special Task Force Official handles hostage situations, urban
and rural terror, protects VIP’s and executes specialized rescue
services.
What are the minimum requirements to
become a Special Task Force Official?
Completed Basic Police Training, Older than 21 years, must
undergo pre-selection for Special Task Force and must have two
or more years practical South African Police Service operational
experience.
Training:
Special Task Force Selection Course and Specialized Modular
training. In-service training will be provided.
Where can you be stationed?
Special Task Force Units are situated in Pretoria, Cape Town
and Durban
