The Crime Prevention Official prevents or reduces
predisposing and precipitating factors leading to crime by
applying the constitutional mandate for democratic policing,
addressing crime from a pro-active policing point of view,
applying principles of policing in crime prevention and planning
and implementing crime prevention programmes.
What are the minimum requirements to
become a Crime Prevention Official?
Basic Police Training.
Training:
Crime Prevention level I, II and Sector Policing.
Where can you be stationed?
South African Police Service Stations and Crime Prevention
Units.
