SPORT OFFICER / OFFICIAL

A sports official must give work of high quality in the filed of sports. He/she must be able to control activities contained in the wellness sport centre. A sports officer must be able to communicate well with the people he/she is working with. He/she has to do sports research within the South African Police Service. A sports officer has to do the development of sports policies relevant to the South African Police Service.

What are the minimum requirements to become a Sport Officer?

To become a sports official a person must have past grade 12, preferably a diploma in sports management from a recognised College or Universities. You must also have managerial experience in the field of sports. The official must have a drivers’ licence.

Training:

Each member of Sport Office shall be given the opportunity to undergo training to empower/equip himself/herself.

Where can you be stationed?

A sports official can be placed in the wellness centre/gym around the South African Republic. He/she can also be placed in the sports office Nationally, Provincially and at the Area or station level.
