Data Typists are responsible for typing letters, memorandums
and monitor the flow of documents within a unit. They
co-ordinate and maintain the smooth running of a unit. Handling
general administration duties and record keeping are also part
of their work.
What are the minimum requirements to
become a Data Typist?
The minimum requirements to work as a Data Typist are a
Senior Certificate (Grade 12). The individual should be Computer
literate and be able to type 35 words per minute.
Training:
Individuals undergo in-service training.
Where can you be stationed?
Data Typists are stationed in South African Police Service
countrywide.
