Source Documents Officials are responsible for providing
information on crime and they render a crime scene processing
service.
What are the minimum requirements to
become a Source Documents Official?
The individual must have a Senior Certificate, be computer
literate and familiar with the CAS, circulation system and other
mainframe systems in use by the South African Police Service.
The Source Document Official should be fluent in at least two of
the official languages of which one must be English.
Training:
Individuals undergo the Criminal Record Centre Documentation
and Preparation Course.
Where can you be stationed?
Source Documents Officials are stationed at The Criminal
Record Centres of the South African Police Service countrywide.
