Typists are responsible for typing reports, letters,
memorandums and they monitor flow of documents. Handling of
general administration is part of their duties.
What are the minimum requirements to
become a Typist?
Individuals must have a Senior certificate (Grade 12) with
typing as a passed subject. They should be able to type at a
speed of 35 words per minute.
Training:
Individuals undergo in-service training.
Where can you be stationed?
Typists are stationed at South African Police Service offices
countrywide.
