The Vehicle Safeguarding Investigator is responsible for
effective access control at Vehicle Safeguarding Units and the
identification of vehicles impounded. The investigator ensures
the lawful disposal of each vehicle impounded and effective exit
control of vehicles at this unit.
What are the minimum requirements to
become a Vehicle Safeguarding Investigator?
The individual must have completed Basic Police Training.
Training:
Individuals undergo training as Vehicle Crime Investigators
and the Vehicle Safeguarding Unit Training Programme.
Where can you be stationed?
Vehicle Safeguarding Investigators are stationed at Vehicle
Safeguarding Units of Vehicle Identification Sections in the
South African Police Service countrywide.
