State Accountants analyse expenditure reports and manage the budget and general administration. He/she also manages payments by controlling magnetic tapes and the debtors and creditors payments. He/she also manages the loss of state money and salary management.

What are the minimum requirements to become a State Accountant?

An acknowledged degree or diploma or must undergo a structured course for assistant accountants before becoming a state accountant.

Training:

In-service training will be provided. Further training includes a diploma/ degree in commercially related studies.

Where can you be stationed?

National and Provincial level in the South African Police Service.
