Emotional Abuse

Emotional abuse is an attempt to hurt or threaten, attack or control the victim.

It may include the following:

• Domination by the abuser;
• Intimidation which plays on the victims feelings of guilt;
• Abusive expectations - unreasonable demands;
• Name calling, shouting and swearing;
• Not taking the victims concerns seriously.
