Insp Molefe is a sector manager within the station area, concentrating in the Mayfair/Fordsburg Sector. He introduced community policing to the community and pioneered the sector policing concept in his area. One of the projects he started was the Car Guard project, which resulted in a reduction of vehicle related crimes. Some of his other accomplishments for the year include arresting nine suspects for housebreaking in one case; arresting a suspect for armed robbery; recovering R3 000 that was stolen from the Oriental Plaza; making five arrests for vehicle related crimes and arresting three suspects for illegal substances. Insp Ramuhala is well-known at the station for his dedication and loyalty to his work. His commanders and colleagues know they
can always count on him to assist in difficult cases. His thoroughness
ensures success. In the past year, the suspects arrested as a result of his
investigations received, among others, life imprisonment, 15 years and 3
years in prison. Due to various reasons, several members left the unit. Insp
Ramuhala took over six members’ workloads to assist his unit. |
