Missing Persons | Golden Rules

Effective crime combating depends on the partnership between the SAPS and the community we serve. The community shares the responsibility of reporting criminal activities to the SAPS just as SAPS has the responsibility to prevent and investigate crime, identify the culprits and thereby ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.

When supplying information, on any crime, by calling 08600 10111, or when utilizing this e-mail facility, please keep in mind that SAPS would like to know the following in order to thoroughly investigate:

(1) Who
(2) What
(3) Where
(4) Why
(5) How

in relation to the suspect, tools used, actions performed/planned, premises, evidence, witnesses and victims.

Although it might seem to you that your information might be inadequate, it can be vital in order to complete the puzzle and solve the crime.

Remember: When sharing any vital information, you may remain anonymous and all information will be treated as confidential.

Add your voice to the fight against crime !
You can make a difference !
