Endangered Species
Specialised InvestigationsHunting, importation, exportation, possession, buying and selling of
any endangered species specified in appendices I,II,III to the
Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of wild fauna
and flora (Cites), as amended from time to time; and
- any species of wild fauna and flora threatened by extinction as
a result of commercial exploitation.
A continued or a confirmed imminent threat to the species
necessitating technical support systems are available at the unit.
Proactive operations include activities directed against criminals
that are aimed at identifying and eliminating threats to the
identified species.
