LCA Pruis
Andrč Pruis is Deputy National Commissioner of the South
African Police Service responsible for Operations. He is
chairman of the National Crime Combating Forum, a coordinating
mechanism between the operational divisions of the Police
Service. The Division Crime Prevention and Operational Response
Services resorts direct under his command.
He is also the Chairperson of the National Operational
Coordinating Committee, a coordinating mechanism between the
South African Police Service, the South African National Defence
Force and the Departments of Justice, Welfare and Correctional
Services for the purpose of joint crime prevention and
combatting operations. He received training or attended seminars
and conferences in the following countries:
Botswana, Britain, Egypt, France, Germany, Japan, Portugal,
Republic of China (Taiwan), Russia, the United States of
America, and Zimbabwe.
He is married to Santie and the couple has one son.
