Upon arrival at the scene, the premises were searched and sixteen (16) bags of copper cable as well as four (4) loose stripped copper cables were found. The copper cable, cash and the BMW were seized and the duo was arrested on charges of unlawful possession of suspected stolen goods and Contravention of Immigration Act.

The matter was referred to Hawks' Serious Organised Crime Investigation and Priority Crime Specialised Investigation who fully investigated the case which led to the Preservation Order being granted on the motor vehicle and the cash.
