Sandton: Concerted efforts by some community members to assist the police in the fight against crime continue to produce the desired results. Six suspects, (four men and two females) were arrested for possession of stolen property as a result of tip-offs received by the Sandton crime prevention unit in Woodmead Retail Park yesterday afternoon. The suspects were found in possession of 250 SASSA credit cards after the police members searched the motor vehicle they were driving in. The suspects are currently in detention and will appear in court soon. We appealed to residents to keep reporting criminal activities in the area by phoning the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111 or reporting it via the MySAPS app, where they can provide tip-offs anonymously.
