FIVE SUSPECTS APPREHENDED FOR SELLING LIQUOR WITHOUT LICENSE AT PRIMROSE

Primrose Police arrested five suspects aged 30-33-years-old for selling liquor without a license during  operation conducted at Makause and Delport informal settlements in Primrose. The liquor operation was to reduce gender based violence crime and murders that are coming from the informal settlements.

Four taverns were closed at Makause informal settlement while the other one was closed at Delport informal settlement. As police we have noticed that some of Gender based violence emanates from liquor abuse, we will carry on conducting similar operations to curb crime related to abuse of alcohol in our area. Four suspects paid admission of guilt fine and were warned and released while the fifth suspect paid bail and warned for court in Germiston Magistrates’ Court.
