FOUR SUSPECTS APPREHENDED FOR SELLING LIQUOR WITHOUT LICENSE AT PRIMROSE

Primrose Police arrested four suspects aged 24-64 years old for selling liquor without a license during  operation conducted at Makause, Marathon and Delport informal settlements in Primrose on 2020/10/10. The liquor operation was to reduce gender based violence crime and murders that are coming from the informal settlements. Two taverns were closed down at Marathon informal settlement while the other two were closed at Delport and Makause informal settlement. As police we have noticed that some of Gender based violence emanates from liquor abuse, we will carry on conducting similar operations to curb crime related to abuse of alcohol in our area. Three of the four suspects paid admission of guilt fine and were warned and released while the fourth suspect appeared at Germiston Magistrates' Court.
