THREE SUSPECTS APPREHENDED FOR SELLING LIQUOR WITHOUT LICENSE AT PRIMROSE

Primrose Police arrested three suspects aged 22-55-years-old for selling liquor without a license during operation conducted at Makause, Marathon and Delport informal settlements in Primrose on 2020/11/07. The liquor operation was conducted to reduce gender based violence crimes and murders that are coming from the informal settlements. One tavern was closed from each informal settlement in Primrose.

As police we have noticed that some of Gender based violence emanates from liquor abuse, we will carry on conducting similar operations to curb crime related to abuse of alcohol in our area. Two of the three suspects paid admission of guilt fine and were warned and released while the third suspect appeared at Germiston Magistrates’ Court.
