INTELIGENCE DRIVEN OPERATION YIELDED SUCCESS: BISHOP LAVIS

BISHOP LAVIS: Members of Bishop Lavis Crime Prevention made their presence felt in the precinct on Thursday 19 November 2020 when they were part of an integrated operation.

The members responded to information as received and tasted success. When the convoy Stopped at a residence in Lenton Drive, they approached a residence and searched the address. The K9 members of Metro police that accompanied SAPS members utilised their patrol dog to assist in the search. Sixty(60) stoppe DAGGA and an undisclosed amount of cash was confiscated. Bishop Lavis SAPS is investigating a case of Dealing in Drugs. One(1) Thirty One Year old Male was arrested and detained.

As the convoy travelled down Myrtle Road , they rushed into an address in Margaret Street in Bishop Lavis. One (1) Fourty Five(45) year old male was found in possession of Eleven (11) stoppe DAGGA, One(1) Sachet filled with Methamphetamine  and an undisclosed amount of Cash. The male was arrested and detained. A case of Dealing in drugs are being investigated.

Upon driving down Sun Road in Bishop Lavis, the convoy stopped at a few males standing around on a corner. One(1) Fourty Six(46) year old male was searched and found in Possession of One(1) Stop of Dagga and One(1) Halve Mandrax Tablet. He was arrested and detained.

The Trio will appear in the Bishop Lavis Magistrates' Court on Friday 20 November 2020. The Station Commander of Bishop Lavis, Brigadier Christopher Jones lauded his members for their dedication and commitment.
