A 34-year-old brother appeared before Thaba Nchu Magistrates’ Court on Friday 15 January 2021 for allegedly stabbing his younger brother to death. He is remanded in custody and will appear again on the 26 January 2021 for formal bail application.

It was on 13 January 2021 at about 20:00 when an argument erupted at the suspect’s shack in Ramakgari, Thaba Nchu. The suspect, Mosiuoa Monchusi allegedly realized that his money that was meant to buy grocery was missing. He confronted his younger brother, Sello Monchusi aged 31 about the money and a quarrel erupted.

It is alleged that the suspect stabbed the deceased inside the shack and dragged the body to the main house, where he was found by the police after being alerted by neighbors.

During investigation the police found blood stains inside the shack, the victim’s shoe and a knobkerrie.
