The SAPS Provincial Corporate Communication Unit in the Northern Cape hosted a farewell luncheon at Kalahari Lodge in honour of the Provincial Head of the unit, Brigadier Thomas Mohale Ramatseba.

Saying goodbye is always bittersweet because it is never really easy to say goodbye especially when you have shared many memories. Unfortunately, at some point we all have to say it.

Brigadier Ramatseba has served 35 good years in the Service. The level of loyalty, commitment and consistency is out of this world.

The Brigadier’s wife and family were the heroes of the day as they came all the way from Limpopo. A pleasant surprise it was for him.

The Acting Provincial Commissioner Major General Henriette de Waal shared her perspectives and said that it is always easy to welcome someone but having to say goodbye is the most difficult thing to do because we are flashed with so many memories which lead to so many emotions. Major General de Waal further conveyed her gratitude to the Brigadier and wished him all the best in his life.

The farewell function was nothing short of amazing, there was a presentation of gifts as well.

In conclusion, Brigadier Ramatseba expressed his gratitude with warm words of appreciation. And also shared his life journey in the police.
