A charge of murder has been laid against a 29-year-old man who is linked to the murder of a 63-year-old man.

The suspect is alleged to have pelted a stone in the head of an elderly man who died instantly on the scene.

It has transpired that the victim was trying to save his 23-year-old son who was under attack from the mob of young boys.

The suspect was expected to appear in Mitchells Plein Magistrates’ Court.
