RAPE SUSPECT SOUGHT: IDENTITY KIT RELEASED

The Carletonville Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offence unit has released an Identity Kit of a male believed to be amongst the trio who robbed and gang raped the two sisters while on their way home. The incident happened on the 7th of June 2021 at approximately 18:00 pm along the open veld near Randwater in Waterworks.

It is alleged the pair were on their way home when they were accosted by three suspects, two armed with firearms. They pointed them with firearms and demanded cash and cellphones from them then took turns in raping them before fleeing on foot. The victims managed to walk home and reported the matter to the police.

The suspect is said to be dark in complexion, between 35-40 years of age, has a rough skin on his face, tall and medium build. He was wearing a black trouser, black and brown coat and a blue and black balaclava.

We are again making an appeal to the community to not try apprehend the suspect on its own as he is deemed to be armed and dangerous.
