MOTHER AND SON TO APPEAR IN COURT FOR ALLEGATIONS OF DRUG DEALING: WESTERN CAPE

WESTERN CAPE - Two suspects aged 63 and 35 are due to appear in the Somerset West Magistrate tomorrow, 02 September 2021 for allegations of drug dealing.

The Hawks’ Narcotics Enforcement Bureau (SANEB) in Cape Town in conjunction with Crime Intelligence(CI) and Somerset West Crime Prevention unit conducted an intelligence- driven operation in response to information received on suspects that were cultivating dagga from their residence in Arum Ave in the Somerset West Area yesterday afternoon .

A search warrant was obtained thereafter the premises was searched. At the premises a hydroponic dagga laboratory was uncovered cultivated under lights and fans. In total the dagga that was discovered comprise of 85 dagga plants, 21 capsules with possible THC in it , CBD oil and 100 grams of loose dagga were seized with a street value of R49 600.

The duo will  are appear on charges of dealing in and cultivating of dagga.
