Philippi-East: Concerted efforts by some community members to assist the police in the fight against crime continue to produce the desired results.

Two suspects were arrested for possession of stolen motor vehicle, drugs and stolen property as a result of tip-offs received by the Philippi-East Crime Prevention Unit in Klipfontein Mission Station this morning.

The suspects were at a house in Klipfontein Mission Station and after the police members went to the address to search it, a stolen motor vehicle were found on the property. They’ve also confiscated 35 half mandrax tablets, 34 quarter mandrax tablets and 13 cellular phones that were found in the house.

The motor vehicle was positively linked to a theft case in the Athlone policing precinct during September 2021.

The suspects are currently in detention and will appear in the court once charged.
