SAPS EASTER PRAYER SERVICE: UGU DISTRICT
2022/04/20      |  Written By:  Captain PZ Mpinge   |   Province:  Kwazulu-Natal

SAPS members from within UGU District braved the inclement weather on Wednesday 13 April to gather at the Norwegian settlers Church on Izotsha Road in Marburg for an Easter Prayer Service. SAPS Employee Health and Wellness spearheaded the prayer service where Reverend Nkosiyazi Ngema directed the program and Captain Sakhile Shazi opened with a prayer.   Reverend  Shozi of CFCI imparted words of encouragement and hope.

UGU District Commissioner, Major General Sethenya Nxamagele addressed avid listeners on several reasons SAPS needs prayer. Our thoughts and condolences go out to families who have lost police members, people in our communities who have lost dear loved ones as a result of the disaster we are experiencing and the challenges we as SAPS experience in the ongoing fight against crime. A candle was lit to remember all our loved ones lost in death.

The District Commissioner also pleaded that God listen to all cries for help during this time especially victims of gender based violence and victims of crime.

Everyone in attendance felt uplifted by the positive messages, thoughtful prayers and joyous songs of praise and worship.
