FREE STATE: Wednesday, 18 May 2022: The Phuthaditjhaba Crime Intelligence led operation together with Phuthaditjhaba K9 led to the successful arrest of wanted suspect on alleged murder of three patrollers at Bolata Village.

On Monday, 16 May 2022 at about 14:30 the members of community shared information with police which led to the arrest of first wanted suspect at Hasethunya Village with regard to shooting of anti-stock theft patrollers in Bolata Village in which total of three people were killed. The suspect was interrogated and have a case to answer. He is expected to appear before the Tseki Magistrate court on Thursday, 19 May 2022 on three counts of murder.

It is alleged that on Wednesday, 04 May 2022 at about 23:30 patrollers of anti-stock theft unit were following information with regard to certain foreign nationals believed to have been stealing livestock. The information led them to a certain house at Bolata Village. On their arrival it is alleged that shots were fired towards them which left two people dead and one injured. The deceased persons on the scene was Mojaki Mojaki and Doctor Teboho Mokoena.  On Saturday, 14 May 2022 the third victim, Lelohla Jack Leotlela (35) succumbed to the injuries at local hospital.
