On Saturday morning, 21 May 2022, members of Moeka-Vuma Social Crime Prevention; Sgt  Manyeki, the Vispol Commander, Capt Moloisane, Sector Manager of Sector 1, Sgt Makwe, accompanied by Community Police Forum (CPF) member, Mr Motloutsi, participated in a Sports Against Crime activity wherein they addressed the youth at Mighty Kings Sports Ground. Soccer teams from surrounding villages, namely, Moeka, Mootla, Swartdam and Ratjiepane participated in the activity.

Before the competition commenced, all players and officials of participating teams were educated about the different types of crime such as assault, bullying, theft, rape, domestic violence, child abuse and Gender Based Violence (GBV). They were also sensitised about the toxicity of substance abuse.

Not even the cold winter weather could hamper this event which attracted approximately 2000 people, including adults who attended. There were also external stakeholders, who supported the event and they included Old Mutual, the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture, Assupol, a local Ward Coucillor and officials from Emergency and Medical Services (EMS).

To conclude the day, Old Mutual donated new soccer kits to the winning team.
