HENDRINA PRIMARY SCHOOL RECOGNISES PARTNERSHIP

Hendrina Primary School invited the SAPS and the Social worker from Senzokuhle Advice Centre to be part of the child protection week awareness campaign held at the school. WO B.B Mnguni, Sgt. P.Y Shabangu and Cst. M.B Mbokane represented the SAPS and Me VCV Malala, the Social Worker represented our strategic stakeholder Senzokuhle Advice Centre.

In his address, Cst. M.B Mbokane indicated that he is a product of the school and also the “Adopt-A-Cop” for the school. He further encouraged the learners to report any crime they may see or hear of in the community and noted with concerns the surging use and consumption of humble (hooka) by underage children. The Social Worker, Mr Malala warned the learners about the implications of early use of substances as well as the abuse that follows. Mr Malala reiterated the words of Cst Mbokane in relation to reporting abuse of children.

As the event was about to end, the Principal Mrs Malaza as well as the staff issued certificates of recognition to SAPS members and the social worker.
