NON FERROUS METAL THIEVES DUE IN COURT: WESTERN CAPE

WESTERN CAPE: 19 JUNE 2022 - The vigilance of SAPS members attached to the Vredenburg police station stopped two criminals in their tracks last night. The members were on patrol duties at around 18:45 when their attention was drawn to a heavy loaded Toyota Corolla at the R27 and R399 crossing in Vredenburg.

The vehicle was stopped and searched, which led to the discovery of 302 kg copper cable, which was identified by a Transnet employee as property belonging to the transport utility valued at around R91 000-00. Two suspects aged 43 and 46 were arrested and detained until their court appearance tomorrow in Vredenburg for the possession of suspected stolen property.
