WESTERN CAPE: The Mitchells Plain Crime Prevention Unit conducted several operations in the past weekend which resulted in the confiscation of drugs and three drug related arrests. On Friday 07 October 2022, at approximately 07:10, the members stopped a drug dealer in Harmony Square, Town Centre and searched his vehicle. They found mandrax tablets and R464 cash in his possession. The 61 year old male was arrested for dealing in drugs.
Meanwhile, a 19 year old suspicious male was spotted in Moira Street, Tafelsig. They searched him and found 24 heroin straws in his possession. He was arrested and charged for dealing in drugs.
Furthermore, on Saturday 08 October 2022, an 18 year old male was sitting in a corner of Charley Street, Beacon Valley with a bag. He was approached and searched, when the police found dagga and cash amounting to R450. The suspect was arrested on a charge of dealing in drugs.
The suspects are expected to make their court appearance in the Mitchells Plain Magistrate’s court on Monday, 10 October 2022.
