This time of the year is crucial for every leaner but with support from families, teachers, departments such as police, traffic, victim friendly rooms, and department of health Not forgetting the all mighty our Lord saviour all is possible, those were the words of Rev Mosidi Mofokeng as she opened the morning assembly with a prayer at Seatile Primary school in Bekkersdal.
The Social crime prevention, Communication officer, the victim friendly room, department of health and the Reverend Mosidi Mofokeng from the local church fraternity visited the school with the aim of wishing leaners well as they approach their examinations.The grade 7 learners were later addressed on their behaviour after primary level and advised to take care of themselves as they will be resembling what they were taught at primary level. Sister Refilwe Thobela from the Department of health also spoke to teenage pregnancies in schools and shared information regarding the use of contraceptives.
Bullying, substance abuse and gambling was amongst issues addressed.The school management acknowledged and thanked the team for the efforts to fight and eradicate crimes around their school.
