YOUTH AND SCHOOL BASED CRIME PREVENTION CAPACITY WORK SESSION HELD: NORTH WEST

The office of the Divisional Commissioner: Visible Policing and Operations held capacity work sessions on Junior Commissions Project, Youth and School Based Crime Prevention between Monday, 10 and Thursday, 13 October 2022, with Stations Youth and School Crime Prevention Coordinators. 

The session which was aimed at sensitising Coordinators and to rectify all shortcoming identified by the Auditor General South Africa (AGSA) and Internal Audit, was held at all the districts in the province and attended by District Coordinators. The sessions were held as follows:

 

Bojanala District 1 & 2            -           10 October 2022

Ngaka Modiri Molema            -           11 October 2022

Dr Ruth Segomotsi                 -           12 October 2022

Dr Kenneth Kaunda                -           13 October 2022

The Head Office team was accompanied by the Provincial Youth and School Based Crime Prevention Coordinator, Sgt Letlojane during the sessions wherein  the following were highlighted: Rectifications of files for keeping portfolio of evidence, Selection, roles of Junior Commissioners, roles and responsibilities of Youth Crime Prevention Desk, Submission of all returns as well as returns reporting methods that must attached Station Commanders as well as District Commissioners from both Station and District level.

Attendees thanked and appreciated the team for the informative sessions.
