KAKAMAS SAPS DEALS WITH DRUG DEALERS EFFECTIVELY

KAKAMAS: 27 OCTOBER 2022 : A joint intelligence driven operation by different units and stations this morning, 27 October 2022 at 00:30 led to the subsequent discovery and confiscation of 38 kg high quality dagga (skunk) at a premises in Kakamas. 

The dagga was hidden in the ceiling and buried in the garden. Two males, both in their thirties were arrested for dealing in dagga. The estimated value of the confiscated dagga is R968 000. This successful operation targeting drug dealers is a clear message that the police will be adopting a zero tolerance approach when it comes to drug related crimes.

The Acting ZFM District Commander,  Brigadier Peet Coetzee commended the members  for their relentless efforts in eradicating drugs from the streets and also thanked the community for their contribution which led to this success and encouraged them to continue sharing information about criminal activities.

The two suspects will appear in court soon, on a charge of dealing in dagga.
