KWAZULU-NATAL – On Friday 3 February 2023, two accused Rafik Mohammed Suleman (60) and Ravin Rhamdin (34) briefly appeared in the Phoenix Magistrate’s Court for dealing in drugs.
Hawks members received information about the suspects who were dealing in drugs in the area. On Thursday an undercover operation was conducted by the members working together with Durban Metro Police and Crime Intelligence. Suleman and Rhamdin were found in possession of heroin capsules to the street value of approximately R 8 120.00. Members also seized R4050.00 cash, suspected to be a proceeds of crime. The two were placed under arrest and charged for dealing in drugs.
They were both released on R2000.00 bail and the case was postponed to 28 March 2023.
