Nelspruit: 02 May 2023-A 44 year old suspect is expected to appear in Ogies Magistrate's Court today, Tuesday 02 May 2023 after he was arrested for possession of dagga on the N12 freeway on Friday 28 April 2023.
According to information, Middleburg Flying Squad members were patrolling the freeway when they spotted a suspicious silver Hyundai Eletra at about 15:00 near Ogies off ramp.
Police pulled over the vehicle to conduct a search. The vehicle's boot was fully loaded with dagga.
The suspect was arrested hence his court appearance today.
The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela welcomed the arrest and added that Mpumalanga police will always do their best to squeeze the area for drug peddlers.
