The Frances Baard District Commissioner, Major General Johan Bean applauded the arrest of a drug dealer and the confiscation of drugs by Warrenton SAPS.
Shortly before midnight on 3 January 2024, police were conducting a vehicle check point in the Warrenton area.
A vehicle was stopped and searched.
A bag containing 907 Mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of R45 250 and 1kg of crystal meth with an estimated street value of R12 500 was recovered and confiscated.
The vehicle was also seized.
The 35 year old driver was arrested on a charge of illegal dealing in drugs. He will appear in court soon.
