Hard working members from Inanda SAPS Task Team made a breakthrough when they arrested four suspects over the weekend for the killing of three people at Inanda area. The members conducted a crime driven operation after they received information about the whereabouts of the allege murder suspects. Three suspects were arrested at Nhlungwane area near Inanda and the fourth suspect was arrested at Newtown 'C' area on Sunday, 10 March 2013. The arrested suspects aged between 21 and 27 years were charged with three counts of murder. One will appear in the Ntuzuma Magistrates' Court today, 11 March 2013 and the other three will appear tomorrow, 12 March 2013.   

 

On Thursday, 7 March 2013 at about 07:30 the bodies of three people were found hacked to death at Bhambayi sports ground. The Inanda police were called and three counts of murder were opened for investigation. The motive for their killing is unknown and a Task Team from Inanda police station was formed to investigate the case. The deceased were identified as Mthobisi Shosh (19), Nkululeko Khanyile (18) and Mfanafuthi Zwane (19). The dedicated and committed members worked tirelessly around the clock tracing the suspects and at last their hard work yielded results.   

 

KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Commissioner, Lt General Ngobeni praised the speedy arrest of the suspects by the Inanda Task Team. She condemned the senseless killing of people by these alleged murder suspects and hope that they will serve long term in jail if found guilty.
