Media Statement GAUTENG - The office of the District Commissioner for Johannesburg, Major General Nonhlanhla Kubheka, is pleased to announce the appointment of Colonel Chetty as the new station commander of Bramley police station. The Johannesburg district management has today extended a warm welcome to Colonel Chetty during the District crime combating forum meeting. Colonel Chetty joined the South African Police Service in 1991 and has grown through the ranks over the years. He has served at various police stations, including Sebenza, Midrand, Ivory Park, Edenvale, and Reiger Park, where he gained extensive policing experience. Throughout his career, Colonel Chetty has held several key positions, including serving as an Operational Commander, Vispol Commander, and as a detective. He also previously served as the station commander at Reiger park SAPS. With 35 years of experience, Colonel Chetty brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. “I am a dedicated and committed police officer with a strong passion for policing and a firm stance against corruption”, Colonel Chetty said. He has committed to implementing an open door policy and is eager to work closely with other law enforcement agencies, Community police forum and the community at large to enhance safety and make Bramley policing precinct a crime free zone. The Johannesburg District commissioner Major General Kubheka has expressed confidence in Colonel Chetty’s leadership and wished him success in his new role. Ends
